…at the Fontana 1/4 mile Drag Strip!
The Titan 350Z off-season rebuild is almost complete! We decided to first get the car back together and running with the current stock 5.6L engine. And after we shake the car down, we will tear the engine out and begin rebuilding it for our new 500hp setup! So instead of the normal trip to Willow Springs for a few laps, we decided it would be more fun to take it to the drag strip.
The NOS setup was working and as you can see we were very eager to see what we could do with it!!!
With the AutoClub Speedway being the last 1/4 mile strip in southern California, it was quite the turnout. Over 300 cars showed up to try and beat the weather to get a real drag pass.
This Camaro was probably my favorite car there.
Even the guys from Wrecked Magazine came out to see how the day was going.
The weather was not working with us all day. The track opening was delayed almost 2 hours, then it was shut down again for an hour in the afternoon… We were beginning to think we would not even get a pass. But the lines started moving again. We agreed earlier to just run NA the first pass. At this point knowing we would only get one pass… it was probably best to just stick with the plan.
There was only 2 different classes, Electronics and Non Electronics… Something doesn’t look right here!
Warming up the slicks…
This drag experience was not nearly as productive as the first time we went to Irwindale 1/8th mile in November. We only got ONE PASS!
11.95 @ 110.9
Here is our best 1/8th mile at Irwindale compared to our 1/4 mile at Fontana
I don’t know if we will have a chance to run the stock NA engine down a 1/4 mile again, we need to get moving on the new setup! We will continue to tune at Irwindale and hope we have a better 1/4 mile experience next time!
You can’t pick that camaro when there is a sweet ’66 Chevelle in the other lane.
man you guys have to be bored !!
I wanna see POPPA WHEELIES!!!!!
Does Maxxis make drag slicks? What kind of tires were you guys using on the rear? They dont say anything on them that I can see in the pics….
Looks like fun. How big of a shot were you guys running?
How Funny man…..But It really looks great.
Good efforts.Keep up the spirit.
