Irwindale 1/8th Mile Drag

So we took the car up to Irwindale for the Thursday night drags. Really wanted to see what this thing would do on the nitrous. At first we just started with the 100 shot and a first gear lockout, so the NOS would not turn on until second gear. And we once again started with the setup that gave us 7.3 last time we were here.

First pass was a good start, 7.3 again… but we broke the slicks loose in EVERY GEAR! We didn’t expect it to make such a change!

Then while we tried to dial in a lil more grip. This happened at the line.

Never done that before!!!

We have a spare but we did not bring it with us, only a small bag of tools for the drags. We were expecting to ramp up the NOS until something bad happened. But the driveshaft broke at the line so the NOS wasnt even turned active yet. CRAZY!

Nice driveshap loop. What kind of driveshaft was it that broke????

    Ooooo how sad,

    Didn’t expect this so early,right???
    Good luck.

  3. VK56 Rules says:

time for carbon fiber…or try a 4×4 titan aluminum driveshaft cut down. Freaking N20 is a torque monster on top of the VK56 my truck loves the juice.
