SR Car Catch Cans

June 1st, 2009 by Chris Forsberg

Along with the new Mishimoto cooling setup, I designed a simple catch can setup that will mount vertically, and bolt up to the frame rail. The left cylinder will be the water overflow, and the right cylinder will be the oil catch can. Each cylinder is one quart in volume and will have fittings welded into each of the holes.

This is a close up of the baffle I made for the oil catch can. The inlet is at the top of this cylinder, so i used a piece of 90degree aluminum to force the flow of “blowby” down, and not right out the filter which will be on top.
