So me and the guys decided a lil while back that we were gonna enter the 24 Hours of LeMons race this weekend at Thunderhill. Vaughn Gittin and Ryan Tuerck flew in on Monday to start the mayhem of building a $500 car in 3 days. So far we have been so busy that I have not been able to post updates! But the car is coming along now. It has been a scavenger hunt in Los Angeles trying to find old KA parts for this 240sx. We were on the home stretch last night with this engine till we found out that it had rod knock!
So last night we start making phone calls and found out Quoc Ly had an old KA laying around. JR and Andy head to DriftSpeed (20min drive) and pick up the engine. By the time they got back Tony, Tuerck, and I had the old engine out, on the ground and broken down to swap all of the parts across! We strong armed the KA out of the truck and get back to work. The new engine is now sitting in the car and waiting to get buttoned up. We leave in 3 hours!

Holy shit, i didn’t know you guys did that build in the 3 days before the race. I’m pretty goddamn impressed. That was a solid car you guys had there. Hopefully you guys will do another event, despite Jay’s powertripping bullshit.
