Some of you may not know that earlier this spring I bought my first drift car back from my friend! I bought this car when I was 17 back in 2000. I had it until the summer of 2003 when I sold it to by my first 350Z. I had about 5 different rotary setups in it ranging from stock turbos to semi-peripheral ported 13B-REW motor with a T76 turbo, and finally to the more known SR20DET conversion that it had for the summer of 2003 til about 2006. This car has exchanged hands about 4 times before ending up with Lindsay Ross for the past 3 years. The car has been all over the country, and actually was run in 2 rounds of Formula Drift by Tony Angelo in 2004.
We made a deal one night that if he ever was going to sell the car that he would sell it to me! Well I got a phone call shortly after that he was going to be taking a job out in Japan designing cars. So I bought the car and put it in my garage and it basically sat for a few months.
Here and there I started working on it… cut the old roll cage out (that I put in the car back in 2001). The plates were starting to rust through the floor so I cut all of those out as well. And also just some general cleanup.

Now I am working on fixing some bent metal that has happened to this car over the years…

For the front I am cutting everything off in front of the strut towers except for the frame rails, then I will build my own front member setup.

I still got some of the metal to clean up off the frame rails, but this was just the initial cutting the smashed corner off the car… I try to put about an hour or two in a week when I have the time… Hopefully I will get some more progress soon.
looking good buddy!!
refreshing news
Now mount the PS3 simulator in the car.
Also, I remember seeing video of this car somewhere on the Internet a few years back.
Such a sick car! I wanted one of these as my first drift car! Still have a soft spot for them. Maybe I’ll pick one up one of these days and give the S2000 a break.
Man, those REV’s don’t look that nice anymore, anymore.
