Best of LA Video Shoot at Sam’s Auto Land
December 22nd, 2009 by Chris ForsbergBest of LA came back to Sam’s Auto Land today to film another segment for the show, and since Sam knows everyone in Gardena, he got the police to block the street off for a little drift show.
Alex Pfeiffer and I hopped into our cars and took the host for a ride down Western Ave.
We did the drift show for a few minutes to show the audience how Sam’s Auto Land is more than just a body shop. Their family has been involved in racing since the 1940s, and Sam has been painting race cars for over 20 years.
Here you can see that Sam was also involved in some racing of his own back on the old Gardena dirt track.

That “old Gardena dirt track”…Ascot.
I used to sit in my Aunt’s backyard, listening to those guys race…I was probably only 5 or 6, never actually made it to the track…
