		<description>That cable is actually the reverse cable for the transmission.  It gets fed up the right side of the shifter to that red piece.  you pull up on the red piece to unlock reverse and then push forward on the shifter.  similar to how toyota 6 speed shifters work.  its just flopped backwards and resting on the handbrake</description>
