Missile Car Turbo Kit

So I finished up my turbo kit for the 240 today. Its getting really close to being finished now…

I started with making the cold side pipe. I found this battery that fits perfectly and takes up half the space of the old one so that I could route my piping directly from the intercooler to the throttle body.

Then my turbo arrived… this thing is a little bigger than I thought it would be! I did want it to be larger than necessary to make the car have less response than normal. This will force me to have faster reactions and more throttle/clutch control than if it was a tiny turbo. We welded up the external gate flange and decided to run an internal gate for less headache.

I fit it onto the engine so I could start mocking up the turbo side piping.

Once I had the piping finished up, I went and got the oil lines from Baker Precision, plumbed the power steering reservoir, and modified the actuator for the wastegate. My K&N filters also showed up today so I installed them onto the car just before we started it.

And then I made the exhaust.

Yes, that is the complete exhaust, and no, I don’t care. No hood, no care.

You might want to make a heat shield for the master cylinder. With the exhaust being that close, it’s gonna heat the fluid like crazy!!
