Chris Forsberg Racing

This past weekend we had the opportunity to go to Daytona to support Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in his first Nationwide race in the NOS Energy Drink Number 6 car. It was my first time to Daytona and/or a super speedway so I was excited to see the high speed restrictor plate race. I got to spend a lot of one on one time with Ricky throughout the weekend on pit road, in the truck for opening ceremonies, and in his private coach. We talked about NASCARs, sprint cars, and of course drift cars. Ricky has a lot of sprint car experience so our plan is to get him in a drift car and vice versa sooner than later!

Ricky had a real fast car for the weekend as he qualified 1st and went on to finish 2nd in the race in a pretty epic final lap!

The next morning I found myself at the Walt Disney World Speedway for some driving in exotic cars and ride-alongs in NASCARs. Ricky and I were able to drive a pair of Ferrari 458’s and an Audi R8. We took the Audi R8 for some hot laps where I was able to beat Ricky’s time by over 3 tenths! Sorry, I had to brag a little bit!

From there we went back to Daytona for the Sprint Cup race. The crowd was massive and everyone was ready to party. How can you not love the shear enthusiasm of a NASCAR fan in the infield of a super speedway! Look at the effort they go through to have a better view!

Another night of great racing and a few spectatular crashes later and the race was over. We had a great time and look forward to racing with Ricky again soon!
